Hi all, I've been lurky-loo lately, but not posting...Hope you all had/are having a wonderful holiday!

Here is a piece I did for a friend who commissioned an angel pin - the initial idea came from an old Bead and Button project, but she sort of took on a life of her own and evolved into a bit of a surprise! The face is a moonbaby bead from our own Melanie of Earthenwood Studio! I took the picture before deciding to hammer the wings for texture.

The next ones are watches I made with faces I bought from one of the watch buys - Thanks again Kelly! I think there was a thread on how people were finishing them and I was happy to see that mine are still pretty unique! They are all gemstones/Bali, etc...

This one is crocodile jasper...

Faceted black onyx and rhodochrosite rondells...

Carved amazonite leaves and Bali...

Rhyolite (yum!) and Bali vermeil (gold-filled wire)...

Nice work on the watches, and AMAZING ANGEL! That's so cool! I've got pieces of heavy gage copper wire sitting in mangled clumps around the apartment that I've thought about doing that sort of project with... and my dad just welded me the grooviest industrial-funky lamp base as a Christmas present, so I was picturing possibly doing a wire-and-beads wrapped shade for it... ooh, the inspiration flows!

Thanks for sharing!

Melissa,
WOW! I love that angel pin! It's good to see that my little face bead found a good home! I really like the colors and textures and the leaves for hair! Nicely done!

How is the pin back attached? Is it wired though the back?

Your watches are all very nicely designed...very wearable. My favorite is the onyx and rhodo one.

Nicely done!

Melissa, great angel, and watches. I like to see different ideas about angels as we don't really know what they may be like .

Melissa, your work is beautiful and inspiring!

I started making a bangle, using a similar process to your angel, and it's sitting there abandoned because I couldn't work out what to do with the ends of the wire that forms the armature. You've given me the inspiration to pick it up again!

Your pieces are individual and refreshing - kudos to you!!
