Hi Rita,
When will you start listing auction items for sale, in addition to store items?

*You are one of my ebay Gurus, in case you don't know*
;)
:D

This guru (hehehhe....thanks, Nina!) just listed one auction today. Not a great one...but I had to start somewhere.
The free listing is not very advantageous for me because I list FP.
I will possibly list another one tomorrow ( 10 days listing).
I really don't have anything to list so I am painting at the moment hoping to finish this one for tomorrow!
The store has only two remaining items ...my sellers list is pityful.
Also I will be leaving for Italy February 11 so I only have a month to go before my vacations. But the good news is that I will go to the Venice Carnival!

So we can expect some bright carnival art when you come back? You will have to have people take photos of you at the carnival to show us - holidays snaps, not references for a change! lol

I will miss you, how long will you be gone?

How much do you expect your trip to cost?

I go to Italy every year because that's where my mom, brothers and relatives are. I always take small detours through Tuscany or Rome before going to Sicily to visit with my mom. This year my detour will include Venice, a 3 day stay during the Carnival with my daughter Francesca and my brother Sandro, and Pisa where we will stay with my cousin Silvia.
Yes, it will cost me quite a bit, mostly for air fare from Vancouver to Italy and Hotel in Venice, but going to Italy every year is important to me as a daughter and as an artist.

I am not sure I will do any paintings stemming from the Carnival...but you never know!

ooOOOOoooo I am sooo jealous!!! Someday I'll be able to travel. Have a ton-o-fun! I enjoy my family and it sounds as though you do as well. :)

My listings have been plain pitiful but it's not due to any marketing strategy. Just cause I simply didn't have time to produce with finals and the holidays combined. Then after graduation, I basically crashed pretty hard. I'm just starting to get back into the swing of things as well. I've got a new one going out tonight.

Rita,

Oh, I envy you! I love Venice and just missed the carnival last year by a week. One day I'll make a point of going back during that time, as it must be amazing. As far as hotel, do you have it booked yet? I stayed in a great place that was very clean, cheap, and had its own kitchenette. The best thing was we didn't have to share a bathroom, which I've been told is fairly uncommon. It's about a 10 minute walk from the bus drop-off, about 15 from San Marco Square. Let me know if you would like me to dig out the info.

Thanks, KerryJo!
I hope the trip will be as much fun as I imagine it will be. Sometimes high expectations are not a good thing....

Ebay is still pretty slow, so don't worry if you cannot list as much as you would want. I just listed one yesterday and was hoping to list one more today but it did not work that way...I will list tomorrow. Just rest a bit and you will go back to painting much refreshed. Sometimes a break from painting is just what the doctor ordered!

Thanks Rita! I'm not worried. Been too tired to worry. LoL I enjoyed putting the paint to canvas again though, even if I did have to force myself to start. ;)

High expectations filled or not, I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun.

Rita,
A trip like this sounds like a wonderful way to rejuvenate the creative juices! I know it will be fun and rewarding and especially so, since you'll be spending time with your family.

Have a safe and happy time and return safely...we will miss you!!

Rita,

The trip back home country sounds so wonderful! I can relate you to that. Have a great time there when you go in February! One of my dreams is to visit Venice during the carnival. I live not so far away from there, but I have to work and work. :D

And I always appreciate your help regarding ebay stuff. :) Thanks!
