I did three 20 minute oils in the open studio with my rubber glove on. Here is my favorite.

REALLY happy to be out and around and not thoroughly depressed by my oils again.

This is underpainted with acrylic, lavender and green as a sloppy mess. It is fun for a neutral to play on.
In the twenty minutes I snip a roll of pre-primed canvas in roughly 8x10 shapes and tape them to a large cardboard.
Sometimes what happens is really spectacular.
The underpainting of purple makes such a strong statement untouched.
Your impressions?

an honour to see this.
thanks
your link to the fig drawing forum is amazing, particularly the figure lying on belly, and particularly the one with the natural pendulous, and particularly this one too.
all great.

i lke the shape of the red,
which works with the shape of the torso
the vertical arm,
with the vertical head
possibly more highlight in the bottom area

Awe
20 minutes.
just enough there, the face is beautiful, nice that the breast is treated to some of the same detail. I find the amount of purple on the chin a bit distracting. I adore the olive flesh tones with the red. Going over to fig to see the rest.

dj,

I'm so glad your out and about again. Great to see you posting such awsome works. Your little "incident" hasn't really slowed you down.

How long did it take you to get to this point? Acheiving something this good in 20 mins sure needs experience. Good luck for the Scholarship!
