As you know, the WetCanvas! community embraces the digital art revolution. So much, in fact, that some time ago we created a special forum and content channel specifically to focus on digital art.

Recently, several members have begun posting digital works of art in other, medium-specific forums, such as Pastels and Oil Painting. While these works of art may have in fact been created in the "style" of a pastel or oil painting, they are, of course, NOT pastel or oil paintings. They are still works of digital art.

Posting digital works in medium-specific forums only serves to confuse newcomers to the medium and our forums. The medium-specific forums are there to facilitate Q&A, technique discussions, and showcasing of a particular medium.

So, with all of that said, we welcome digital works of art in the digital forum, or even the subject-specific forums. For example, a digitally created landscape could be posted in the Landscape forum, or the Digital Art forum, depending upon the purpose/intent/desires of the poster.

However, please refrain from posting digital works of art in other, medium-specific forums. Please use the medium-specific forum created especially for your medium, the Digital Art forum.

Starting today, posts in violation of this policy will be moved to the appropriate forum. Continued, blatent violations in defiance of this policy will result in a violation of the user agreement, and could lead to account banishment/removal.

Cheers.
