This is posted in the Pastel forum, but done in digital, in PSP. I Really like this Morisot guy, wonderful stuff.

Morisot was a woman. :) Berthe Morisot. She was later married to Manet's brother and like Mary Cassatt, she was independently wealthy, which allowed her to paint.

Berthe is one of my favorites....she was able to combine her art with family....I admire her stamina. Being wealthy helps, but she still had to paint at a time when she could and then put everything away when the family came home...sounds familiar

Pam, this piece of yours is what got me started with her work, I did a copy of yours, then I copied hers.

I still don't like what she did with the mirror, it's muddled and confusing to my eye.
