This piece is made by placing two separate glass bubbles together to form one vessel. The 'spots' are silver foil. Dennis

Gorgeous, I love this style of split glass vessel--very intriguing. This one looks quite large, can you give the dimensions?

Always a pleasure to see your work Chugh, thanks for sharing!

This piece is actually not that large. It's about 5" x 10". Dennis

I love seeing all the blown glass. I know I will never do it...but it is certainly my favorite form of glass work!

I agree with all the responses. Very cool effect.

Gotta ask: why is that called "incalmo"? I could look it up and I used to know but thought I'd ask while I was here.

[I don't mean the actual word, I mean, what is the general technique called 'incalmo'.]

Incalmo (I've also seen it spelled encalmo) is the process by which a vessel is formed from two separte bubble at a minimum but can be many more than that.

Ahhhhh. Thanks Chugh! I had been thinking it was some sort of enameling process. My eyes have been opened!
