I'm sorry about the size of this. I tried about 7 times to make it fit but no luck.
This is a detail of a pencil and watercolor I did. I'm learning to do glazes. I used Dr. Ph. Martins Hydus paint ..Great Paint!!
Is pencil with watercolor accepted in watercolor competitions?
Thanks for looking.
Hey it worked after all http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

I love the crab apples. They are sooo realistic. The only suggestion I would make is to intensify the colors on the rest of the painting.

I like these crab apples...they would make a good subject up close too. Nice background colors, it sets them off. Sandy

Itís funny that the crab apples came out looking realistic, I never aim for realism, I endeavor to express color and feeling, form and volume.
Watercolor is so hard for me, when Iím working in oils I rework the piece a zillion times. In WC One slip of the brush and WHAM youíre done. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

I like the strong crab apples against the soft background, looks great,
Not sure about your question re pencils and watercolors, can't see a problem if they are watercolor pencils as well,

This is a detail of what I meant by pencil and watercolor. Is it accepted in competition to use 2B pencil along with watercolor? Would if be consider a cheat?
Thanks for all your kind help
