Wonderful work this morning already, it is only 6:10am here. I played with baking soda for the first time yesterday, I will post them later, although, they are a little funny. The bubbles broke thru in a lot of places, but I like it that way. I was wondering how you make the crosses. They are absolutely wonderful. Do you have or know of a tutorial. I would love to learn how to do that. My silly fish from yesterday has some hairline cracks in him, after annealing, I think I won't subject it to the ultrasonic. I don't want to loose the litte guy, well at least I would have stories to tell about the "one that got away" But then I would have to start lying about how big he was!!! LOL - God Bless you all - Virginia

For the crosses, do you "punty" them together, then decorate them??? - Virginia

Maureen, your set is beautiful! I love it!
Very nice bracelet, Chroma. I want to learn to wire wrap.
I've been playing with boro. Are there other boro newbies out there?

This one is supposed to be a dragon for my son

Sorry about the crappy pictures. I'd like to blame the camera, but I think it's me......

These were so much fun. I read about them in a thread yesterday and gave them a try. I love the craters. The one I kind squashed, and then put the soda on just one side then rolled it a bit, so it went around inside a. Anyway, still having fun at all this, I LOVE FUN!!! - God Bless - Virginia

Cool Beads!

Maureen - those florals are great! Especially the encased one at the top. Love it!!! Got any tips on efficient encasing?

Karen's EBAY (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?cgiurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Fws%2F&krd=1&from=R8&MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&ht=1&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&query=kws+beads)

Here's a bead from my Ruby series. I tried Jill's suggestions from yesterday's S&T. I ended up using photoshop to cut out the background so it was white. I'll try again!

I love this thread - it is my inspiration every day!
You guys all have such wonderful beads!!!

I still can't make my own beads, but had to brag on one I got for my birthday! It's not here yet but I got a picture of it.

Becky from www.landsart.com made it for me to look like one of my dogs.

really cool thread today, everyone. I always enjoy looking at this thread, even when I don't have anything to contribute..

but I've been squeaking out some last minute rush orders for Christmas - i think i'm done and can get back to having some fun with frit the next couple of days...

here are two University of Texas sets that I turned into bracelets. one of the white beads says "Horns", the other has a Longhorn on it.

And here's a Shepherd's Bush set that was an order

and finally, a couple of presents for friends

I've been playing around with the boro lately, in anticipation of my Doug R video, I'll be ready for the challenge....I think, lol.
At any rate, the frog bead is soft glass, but the stand he is perched on is of boro and has a butterfly, bee, flower and a mushroom.

Happy Holidays.

Kay, I don't blame you for wanting to keep your beautiful floral bead.

These are the winestoppers I made from Christy's bulk buy in October. All are supposed to be gifts but I am tempted to keep the rainbow dichroic. Mary

Thanks, but it's not a bead, it's a vase. :) The color is hard to capture - it's kind of coke-like, transparent dark brown, almost black, with these wonderful red and amber reflections when the light hits it. I tried to get a picture of it in sunlight today, but the weather wasn't being very cooperative...
