Great start Jimmy. Theres something unique about all your models and I can tell you find a quality that seems to pull through your work...I cant really put my finger on it - I'll probably enjoy your art more if I never do. ;)
And stop scaring Carole or she may have to sleep with her computer on tonight. ;)
btw - the xpost w/IMG is perfectly fine for up to three forums, no one will try to snitch on you in classical like they did to me in d&s. ;)
Thanks Arlene for the IMGs!

it is an ancient puerto rican secret, problem is my spanish is embarrassingly horrible so i can't decipher it myself!!!:o i think what you may be thinking, is that i let the model get as comfortable as possible. if i think they're posing out of character, i'll ask them if they feel comfortable in the pose. if they feel uncomfortable, they will move immediately out of embarrassment. ooh, used embarrassment twice, thrice now. the best models are the ones who are self-conscious about their looks. something always comes out better from them, not sure why, and i don't want to ask!
oh yeah, and i'll snitch on you again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanx.

hi all,
i'm considering this one done. finished a little while ago, added much to the shirt and pants, and more contrast to the face, hair and hands. i'm pretty happy with it, hope ya likes.

Hey Jimmy. Its the self-conscious quality that I like, definitely. I also think that you dont try to idealize them - I remember you mentioning that you liked putting in personal flaws...realness. This is no exception.
There is a nervous fear about her; she is beautiful and I want to look elsewhere but her eyes keep pulling me back. I like the sexy nipple poking through the shirt too. oops, can I say nipple on here? ;) Beautiful work J.

Jimmy she's beautiful...a really sensitive job you've done.
Two things?
the white on the left side is drawing my eye there...i'd rather her face be more important...toning it down with a very light wash of pencil would help...
I know you like to leave areas undone, but in this case it is distracting...
and it feels like her shoulder on the same side is too large. almost like a bit of the shoulder and upper arm should be narrowed

Great peice of work.....the hair is wonderful and I agree about the light spot on the top right...just tone it a bit...

hmm, i rechecked the drawing and i guess it must be the contrast on screen, but it does'nt stand out as much on the original. sorry, but i decided to fix it so it's hardly noticeable. couple of people have noticed it, and unless the model's personality includes perky nipples, i'd rather not make it cause attention. if the model's ok with it, then i'll be ok with it. i know, i know, it looks cool, but gotta respect the model. oh yeah, lazy eyes rock!
the white on the left side is drawing my eye there
do you mean the unworked area of her shirt, or that big area on top. if you mean the shirt, the decision was made before i started the drawing to leave it untouched. if you mean our right corner, that's the pic getting washed out, which is what i think alan is referring to. i'm at work now, but i'll double check the shoulders when i get home.
thanx again.
