The first one is Ocelot Spots on EDP... the next one is a mixture of different frits (leftovers from my graphite pad) with emerald green and some silver leaf.

Sara

Wow, you all are doing amazing work! Let me take a guess with Sara's. Iris Gold (the blue/green tones come out when used with silver over a dark color), and one of the pinks, maybe fuchsia?

The beads I posted are made like this:

Base bead- uranium yellow opaque

Apply silver leaf and burnish in

Add dots of rubino and copper green

Melt in

Roll in a mixture of silvered blue, midnight blue, opal purple reduction frits

Add dots of teal transparent

Melt in

Roll in Val's secret fushia frit

Melt in

Encase in clear

I will be soon flooding Ebay with these beads, as soon as I find some "sweat shop" in India. hehe

Just kidding ;)

I am having so much fun with Val's frits I'm dangerously close to giving her my credit card number and asking her to just ship me whatever comes in next.

Emily and I were talking today about this. We're painters and our pigments are our glass. Since we have a more limited palette than artists who work in other media, it's so exciting when someone gives us new colors and new textures to work with.

I love seeing all the different ways you guys are playing with them, and the eye candy piling up for Corina's challenge is just inspiring.

If I ever get my computer fixed I'll join in the posting. (Actually, tomorrow I'm taking my digital camera over to our local photo place and having them upload whatever is in there to a CD, so I can at least get my entry in for the challenge. Then I'll have at least a raw photo -- uncropped and untouched -- I can post here.)

Keep those pretties coming!

And thanks, Val, for the new toys!
