looking good Billy...better than anything I could do "out of my head". Of course it helps to have a good head - (grin)
One thing I keep going back to...the back of the blue boat - shouldn't that be a level line instead of leaning downward? Just curious, I think the painting is lovely http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

I had hoped to give the impression that the dingy was on an up slope.You know on the edge of the channel. Oh well.

This is really nice for an out of the head painting! Colors are good...the dinghy gives the sense that someone just hopped out and ran up on shore...
The one area that takes too much attention is the darker boat tied up next to the wall. It's so dark that it gives a sillouette effect. I'm amazed at the way you get the shapes all so detailed with just the memory to rely on! I'm afraid mine isn't that good!

This is very nice, billy. I love paintings of nautical theme. I think if you lifted a bit of the black off the boat tied up that it would bring it back in to the scene. I love the way you did the sand.
