MY COMMENTS:
This started as a layer project .. I did 2 and then decided that this is it. My conslusion is that I don't like layers and I could do this better alla prima but here it is for what it's worth. I have another started and now it's drying .. once dry I will give it a quick 2nd layer and that will be the end of that.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Not intent on fixing this up .. it's a done study.

I can't see the color in the dark shadows, I'm sure it's there though, It's kinda spooky looking, almost a sense of forboding, maybe something tragic will come with the new day? Good technique and composition as is usual in your work. Nice direction.

No you couldn't. Wow, Wayne, this is awesome. Taking more time has lots more to give. Would like to see you try this with one of your landscapes. :D

thank you all very much .. the other study is still drying and I've been out of it all day with a headache .. think I'll get up early tomorrow and go out and get some new reference material and at the least a good spiritual bath while I walk in the snow in the woods in the winter in the cold of a cold December Day.
