View Full Version : A Rose for the WC Ladies
I have been cleaning and throwing and organizing slides lately.
This is a still life setup I shot back in the 35mm days. The rose has been sprayed with a mixture of water and glycerin for the droplets. This rose was one I gave to my wife on Valentines day in 1987.
Now I share it with you! :)

Thanks for looking, Y'all deserve a rose once in a while!:)
Yes Margie, I will probably toss it. I have it digitalized now. I remember making an 11 x 14 of this in the darkroom using the Cibachrome process. It was a hard one to print right. I wrote down the enlarger data on it. +20 cyan, f/5.6@5sec exposure.:)

Rich, did you add the cyan for more contrast in the reds?

Yes, that would do it. Basically it was to correct my filter pack to make the reds the right color.
Thanks Rose, Marilyn and MM you are welcome!

Thanks, Rich! Nobody ever sends me roses, or flowers of any sort. This is a lovely photograph!
(and Maria, that kitty of yours makes me wish I had the kind of life that made a pet possible!)
Your most welcome K-Tee and Martha!

Ohhhhhh... It's beautiful :)
I was just singing Amelie Poulain's theme, a marvellous, nostalgic music from Yann Tiersen... It put me in a romantic mood already... Now I feel I'm melting down. Everything around has changed into velvet.
Thank you :)
