I looked, but didn't see a thread yet...so I get to go first!!!

I haven't torched since a couple days before Thanksgiving...so it was fun to get back at it again.

The bicone is my very first rubino! (Thanks, Nolly, for the rubino sample!!) It is on a base of white with a little bit of violet and goldstone stringer. I really like rubino now that I can see better what color it actually is. Did I get it right?

The second is just ivory, silver leaf, violet, and some amethyst.

Good morning to you Rachel! Love the way you used the silver in the tab bead! Lovely.

Never been this early on in a show and tell before, but I am kind of excited about these beads. I am not one for bright colors. I tend to keep to the ambers and darks. But, !ngridh's EDP tutorial inspired me to try it out and here is what my very first attempt at Moretti Purple looks like. With some copper green and a drop of SIS on two of them.

I think I am beginning to like the pretty colors more! :)

Keep 'em coming guys!!!
~~Mary

edit: Think I will take a picture in daylight to show truer color, but what I was most excited about was that it didn't devit on me.

Thanks also for the compliments on my tabbie. I've been having fun with silver.

Deep aquamarine base, clear layer, rubino layer, silver blue frit (metallic blue but you can't see it here - but you can in the video), dense black doodles...click here for a video clip of me rotating the bead (http://www.rebeccacharles.com/pictures/12-03-0611-v.WMV)

Rachel - Your bicones are coming along quickly! Beautiful silver work... ;)

Mary - OOOOHHH what pretty purples!

Rebecca - Fab Tab! Love the shininess you get with the video you made. Awesome beads in yesterdays S&T as well.

I can't wait to see more beads later.

Hugs from Holland,
Sarah

Rachel - lovely beads, worth the wait between Thanksgiving and now!

Mary - you've coaxed the "sweet dreamy" out of the "evil devitrifying" purple 254! Beautiful with the old copper green!

Rebecca - gorgeous bead! I had to read the description twice to be sure I understood what colors were in it - it looks a deep garnet red with the metallic blue on my screen - if I'm wrong, I don't wanna be right! Gorgeous!

Beautiful eye candy Everyone!

Maureen.....Yummer! That winter white is making me drool.
Rebecca, I love your videos. ( and the bead!). Since you have sound, you could describe the bead.
Moth, I'm going to have to try that tutuorial. That stuff just frustrates me.

Rachel that bicone is beautiful, your picture makes me want to hold it.
Mary, I love the reaction you're getting with edp and CG, very nice combo.
Rebecca, what great colors, beautiful job on everything you did.
Maureen that's a gorgeous set, it looks just right to me, very elegant.
Well I have edp fever too, I think most of my show and tell efforts have been edp beads come to think of it, I love the Evil One!

I'm running way late for work, but am rather proud of this set and just had to show off a bit. Its that amazing opal yellow with black and some intense black. I've been so busy doing orders lately that I haven't had time to be creative and have fun at the torch....what a drag!!!

Rachel your swirlies are so pretty. I finally got a half decent one the other night thanks to your demo. But the colors aren't pretty like yours.
Moth that purple is awesome! Oh my I love it with copper green. Thank goodness I bought a bit of the old stuff to try.
Rebecca that bead is awesome. I have been trying to make a nice spiral like that and it's not working. Do you have any tips?
Maureen what an elegant neutral set! You make the nicest color combos (still dreaming of your denim set!)
Moonjewels- great EDP set! What is that golden color? It really sets off the purple nicely.

I'm at work so I need to post quickly. Like Rachel, I havent been on the torch since Thanksgiving weekend. I'm in my 9th week of beadmaking. So last night while DH was away hunting I had a mini-marathon and made 2 vessels, 2 bicones and this bead, my second hollow, which I squished into a tab. It's light emerald (love that color) with hyacinth frit and silver blue rf stringer. I liked it so much I wore it today, even with bead release still inside it!
I am completely stoked on hollows and vessels!

Beautiful work today, love all the purples!!I am so excited to post today! My CBS finally arrived yesterday afternoon. YAY! I spent yesterday morning filling orders for frogs, then played with my CBS in the evening. I would have made more lentils, but my DH returned home from a 4 day trip and there I am in the garage saying "I'll be right in". priorities.

Saturday, I will be taking a class from Corina in San Diego, very excited about that too. Hope to have lots to show!

Hi Sheila, that bead is 25x28~mm...
its getting the bead hot enough...and many pressings...not to hard...not squishing all at once...but pressing, turning, pressing ...heating, pressing etc....process takes a few miniutes...its not like the CBS that is one press...but more of a process of pressing

Here's a link to Sandy's beads. Ebay did something recently that made all my bookmarks invalid, so I had to redo all of them--probably what happened to Sandy's, too.

Everything looks so wonderful today! Thank you all for the inspiration.

I posted this in another thread, but I thought I might as well post it here too! These are new button charms and links I am working on in a new black & white color combo. The central "endless link" and the matching tiny charm are made from porcelain and black gloss glaze. The glaze is gently wiped away to reveal the surface of the white clay. I think it really brings out the detail in a very stark way that my normal glazes don't...

Sandy, that copper ruby frit bead is GORGEOUS!

Here are a few new boro beads. I love this color! My torch seems to be fickle though, and will only let me strike this color once in a blue moon ( it could be user error, but I'm blaming the torch  )
