Hello Everyone! Try this, please?

Moretti and do you think he is friendly looking? It is wonderful when your beads start looking like the ones in your head........so to speak.
Now won't you "Bring Out Your Beads???"

Great Ho-Ho, Boog. Nice cheeks. I'd sit on his lap.

Booger - He is so handsome. I like his eyes.

There is a thread going on Glass Tech Forum regarding to "River Rock" beads, so I played this weekend.

Mrs. Booger! Great Santa! It is moretti? What pink did you use on the cheeks and the nose?

12-08-2003, 09:58 AM
Wow Sheryll - the eyes on Santa look real! I like him :)

And Sachiko, I definitely have bicone envy. I can't get that shape right at all and yours is great!

Here's my new set - bunch of blues & purples, and I got brave and etched the whole set and I really like it! I typically don't etch opaque beads. And I really like the cubes in this set - the twistie I used was 3 colors, but you can't really tell, but I like it anyways.

Love the santa! I have working on Santa's myself. I keep breaking the beard off. But yours looks great.

Sachiko great bicone. Looking like river rock to me. I like the shiny green. Is that moretti?

Ginny you are doing such a great job on your beads. You have out done yourself. I love the colors. The two-toned flowers are great.

Ginny..those colors are great, the pic just pops!
Sachiko...I love your river rocks, I'm following that thread too!
Ms. Booger...ho,ho,ho..cool Santa!

12-08-2003, 10:25 AM
Sheryll, I agree with the others, that is a handsome Santa.

Sachiko, a gorgeous river rock.

Ginny I really admire your style.

12-08-2003, 10:45 AM
Sheryll, a non scary Santa! After that really scary one you posted a while back I haven't been able to look at Santa quite the same way...and then my grandson came home from shopping with a picture taken on Santa's knee....the guy had on blue tinted glasses for some reason and looked at first glance like he had two amazing black eyes! Looked like he may have just had a fight, an eye lift or the worst hangover in history! LOL! We just about peed our pants laughing. Actually he was a very sweet and gentle Santa in person I was told.

Sachiko, that's a very nice river rock.

Ginny those beads look almost edible, like candied violets.

Here's a little skating snow person that I did on Saturday during the blizzard we had here.

I love the santa!! And I love those beads Ginny!! Nich bicone, too!!

I have really been having fun with fusing lately..... I guess I just go in phases....

And I am sooooo sick of ebay right now...... so these babies will end up on my website store rather than ebay.

Booger Santas:

I still will never get over the Marty Feldman Santa! That was awsome!

Although I admire handsome Santa,

I also admire your works Sheryll that have been truly frightening. I have seen a couple on here (not Santas) that are very scary. I have never seen anyone do this before in glass, in this way. (Not trying to sound like some big expert, I am certainly not.)

I wish I could remember the particular one I am thinking of, he looked like a devil, and he had an open mouth and his tongue was like laying there, and teeth and horns. It was one of the most scary things I have ever seen in any medium!

Just a word from me to say keep doing this if it's where the glass continues to lead you, because in my mind you are making true art. (and I also am a fan of beautiful pleasing art.)

But gosh that Santa today *is* good lookin!

:) :) :) :) :)

Well, this is my first show and tell. My first snowman attempt(mouth came out bad, so it's just a really fat pipe now..lol), a fishie, and a fish scale sort of bead. Criticism is always welcome. I just wanted to join in the fun too! :) All of your beads are wonderful!!! I can't wait to make them that good!

Fellow WC members, say hello to Jen she just posted these beads and I for one am very proud of her. She has only been making beads for over a week now. She is also one of the sweetest people I have met thru WC. Great job Jen! It is hard to post begining beads and I for one would never post mine. But then again my first weeks of beads did not look even remotely look like beads.

Brave Jen, I'm proud of you!
Your internet buddy,

Ho!Ho!Ho! Love that Santa! Cool beads everyone. I've been playing with an idea for butterflies. Don't laugh. This is the first one and I already have ideas for more. This one is a pendant.

Have a fun day and keep the bead pics coming!

Allison - Oh my gosh, that is a nice candlestick! Makes me wanna purrrrrrrrrrrr.

Booger - I love your santa! He's not menacing at all but I'm not sure he looks friendly yet. For friendly - try rounder, especially in the lower beard area and the eyebrows. :) But, by gosh, your faces are nothing short of amazing.

Here's another kid from me.....
Oh and just in case you missed the last one....

Yes. The shape of the lips/mouth area helps soften what could be an otherwise buggy-eyed, scary Santa. ;)

Sheryll: your santa is handsome and friendly looking - i like all the faces you do naughty & nice!

Dustin: your beads are great (I looked at your site) and the color combos are very cool. I really love these eyes!

Lezlie: the skating snowman is so detailed and wonderful!!

Hello Jen & welcome! only a week - my god, you're moving fast!! my first sculpturals took me so long to make!

Ginny: your blue set is so perfect - very lovely. I had to take a peek at the ebay auction...

Lori: very cute kids - these are the first I've ever seen ;)

anyway here's my few from yesterday that I feel like posting. I'm starting to feel a bit like I'm getting closer to what I want to make...now I want to be on the torch all the time, but can't afford to.

The bracelet is my second finished bracelet. The two coppery beads below use some of Val's frits which just arrived (thanks Val!), but most of the color comes from the aventurine. I have to re-read the frit thread to see how to get the best effects with these!

still don't how to do 2 pics in one post!

Fabulous work everyone! I'm missing my torch time desperately... but prolly until after Christmas my time on it will be very limited.. I may get a full evening in on thursday, but that all depends on whether or not I'm exhausted or not after spending the after noon with 4 and 5 year olds making things for the Christmas Market for my oldest's school.

Thank you for giving me something to drool over while I crave my torch time.

Ok, I'll play today. Similar to a set I did previously but I just love these and it is the season for red:

on eBay of course.

Beautiful beads everyone. I guess I'm a bit off the norm here...santa's eyes kinda scare me. BUT...I did just win a fire and ice bead and cannot wait to get it!!!
