"Little Church in the Foothills"

Lovely little church and well done architectural rendering. I see how you wish to tie the spiritual style glow in the background with the church and foreground. It's a good start. I see that you added a touch of orange to the rooftop to reflect the sky. To bring the two together even better (if the background is to appear to be the source of inspiration for the foreground), I recommend:
- softening the mountain ridge line a bit as it is so far in the background and appears cut-out a bit
- bringing in some of that orangey/yellow glow into the foreground
- adding (ever so slightly) a bit of green into the hills, but a bluer, more distant green, not yellow-green
- pulling a bit of the orange sky into the shadow areas, again, ever so slightly
- softening some of the edges of the rear of the building so it gives more visual depth with the background
Nice combination of a real building with the lovely glow above.

Beautiful little church. I would like to attend a service here. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif
Clean, well-designed composition. Nice lines. Good texture. I love the sky and the texture of the mountains.
The only critique here that I could offer is the "line" of yellow in the lower-right corner. It seems too straight... or too light if it's a shadow.
But overall, I think it's wonderful.

Nice work! I can't add to Artistrys suggestions - but did want to compliment you on that sky especially. Hope you will post more.. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif Carol
PS: Wouldn't the church and bushes there create shadows on the lawn since the light source is behind it all? Just MHO...

It's beautiful, I think I can hear the singing from where I'm sitting. It looks like churches I've visited near my grandparents in Virginia.

Hi Dennis. I agree with Artistry. I love your sky. You can hear the angels sing
