View Full Version : 10 minutes a day

A week or two ago I made myself the promise that I wouldn't let a single day past without doing a minimum of 10 minutes every day of something creative.

This may not sound like very much, but I set the bar low because I figured that something was better than nothing.

My thought was that it would all add up.

10 minutes is fine. It's the everyday part that's important to your art. I've been in the 21 day challenge myself, and believe me it's hard to do art everyday for 21 days.

But you've started a great commitment for yourself. Definately keep it up, and if you are looking for inspiration and support, you should join our 21 day challenge. People jump in all the time..

definitely it works. Once I got the idea I should be able to play guitar a little bit.
I mainly practised in my lunch break for
10-15 minutes and before dinner 30-45 minutes.

Without taking lessons I managed to
come to some success within 3 years.

Painting is much easier for me than music and each sketch or exercise puts another drop in the glas of capabilities.

best regards

Michele & Martin,

Thanks for the encouragement. Generally I end up doing much more thaan ten minutes, but doing it regularly, every day, is what makes you improve.

Most importantly, it it gets me over the frustration of "not doing any art"
