All I have really done at this point are portraits and I was wondering what you all would think of this ... its a for a contest in another site of my most prized possession. Not suppose to be a person.

How about a royal blue for the background...the ring makes me think of a crown...thus royalty. Sharpening the edges of the ring would make it more distinctive too.
Is this your wedding ring, mother's ring, or has some other meaning?

Angie. A lovely concept very well done!
Mo.:)
Angie...what a nice concept and lovely thought. (You haven't been married long have you? :D , just kidding!)
My wedding ring is similar to this...a little older style engraving though. I like how you did your nails...they're not that easy to do! Good luck on the contest...do let us know how it goes, k???

Thanks Mo, a bunch.
Dyin, you are gonna die when i tell you this - Jim and I were married, divorced, married again, divorced again, and now we are back together (but not married, lmbo). The ring is special to me because of the greek key- I am half greek and also it does represent to me that with Jim it is always full circle...Angie:D :p
Oh Angie....here I lie, toes pointed to the sky!!!! That really is a story! Ahhh, the circle...it's life. I forgot that design was the Greek key...love the stories that go with our work...thanks for the answer lol!!!

Great concept for a unique painting and not an easy subject either. Your life sounds like a lot of emotional turmoil. No wonder you paint!

Great story to go with a really nicely done painting. Hands are so hard to do and here is a close up that works well.

Dying- You are welcome. :)
1mpete - Thank you, paint and scream, not neccesarily in that order, lol...
Dark Shades - I do love him :p and we have 2 beautiful girls together. Thanks for the nice comment.
Sandy - It is so funny people say that hands and faces are so hard, to me its the landscapes that are impossible, lol. Thanks.
