Well, I FINALLY wrapped up the last of my houses until the new year!! YIPPIE!!! Still have about 6 or so smaller jobs that I can do before Christmas but the big rush is over for now! :D:)

My wife and I went to Edmonton for her staff X-mas party this past weekend, and it was pretty good. We go to the same Dinner Theater each year and the music is always good :D Did a small bit of X-mas shopping but still have more to do. Now that I have time I can get most of it done this week :D

PS: :clap:HAPPY BIRTHDAY ConsulRomanus (Ben)!!!! Hope you had a GREAT DAY!!!! :D :)

Good for you Murray. Maybe we will get to see a little more of you now as well.

As for me. I would rather shoot my toenails off with a nail gun than go out and forrage for Christmas presents. But for the crew, sooner or later I will

Well, that's good news, Murray. Glad you'll have a little more time for art.

I'm with you on the Christmas shopping, Bob. My husband actually *made* me go shopping on "black Friday." The only way he got me out of the house, though, was because we had to go to an art supply store for his daughter's Christmas present. :D Oh, the sacrifices I make. . . .

Congratulations to Caroline and Ben for there respective achievements.
Work has just gone into frenzy mode [art shop] as we have all the sales stuff PLUS we are already doing the 'back-to-school' supplies - ewwwww. Thousands of brown paper bags to fill with school supplies for the little darlings...
Hehehee - I thought I was REALLY clever this year - I got my wrapping paper a whole MONTH early, that's pretty good for me. Only problem is I haven't got the prezzies for it yet ... Oh well, one day I'll be organised...
Staff parties, oh dear, we haven't started those here yet...

First of all Congratulations Ben and Caroline.
I'm glad to hear you Murray, we missed you lately.
I have not bought anything for Christmas yet. I'm always buying the last day, I'm a disaster, I know and I will not change now.
Have a friday all.

Happy Birthday Ben and congrats Kitten.... very well deserved badge:D

I'm nearly done with my present wrapping. I'm not usually as good as this though. Normally I'm rushing round at the last minute. I'm a good girl this year:angel: :D

Hey....Murray..... so glad you will get some time for yourself at last:clap:

I tried doing some xmas shopping for family and I can't find a single thing that is both within my budget and that I know the recipients will enjoy. I've just about decided gift certificates for everyone and that's the end of it. I don't even have anything for hubby yet!

I think I have a rather severe case of the Humbugs this year. It just doesn't seem worth it to put in all the effort of buying or making something for people who are rude, arrogant, and generally obnoxious.

It also doesn't seem like the holidays since hubby is gone. I told ya'll he got relocated/promoted right? He does come back for the week prior to Christmas but then he is gone again and doesn't know when he will get to come back for a visit..March maybe? Oh, I can see I will be really cranky by Jan 1.

Otherwise I haven't done any art. We're moved in a settled into our new house...my new house I guess... but for some reason I just can't get past this art block. I've got lots of pictures I want to work on but I seem to have no desire or energy to work on them. Maybe things will get better after the holidays are over.

What are you hanging around here for then?

Just kidding obviously, hope you get out of your doldrums soon.

As far as doing some art, I can only suggest grabbing some bits and pieces at random almost, and make a mess / have some fun. If you can't work on what you want to do, then just do something. Anything. And as always, I need to listen to my own advice!;)

Try not to miss hubby too much, but it sure must be difficult.

Cheers everyone

I am so sorry you are having such a bad time. It's never easy to relocate and it must be really hard for you if your hubby can't be with you.
Give yourself some time to settle down in your new home and most of all enjoy the time you will have with your hubby at Christmas.
I must admit I'm a bit of a Bah Humbug type myself so I know how you feel:D
I hope your block is gone soon GF
