This is a change from your other work that I've seen. I like it.
What do I see?
To me, the painting shows us deep into your 'inner core', (a bit like going into the centre of the earth), along the way are the butterflies.
There are quite a few grouped together on the inside(at the core), reducing in number as they reach the surface.
The butterflies could be a way of demonstrating that 'nervous' and 'apprehensive' feeling I'm sure we have all felt at one time or another.
There are a lot of these feelings deep inside, but at the surface, they reduce in number, perhaps because these feelings are hidden to the outside world, or,it maybe demonstrating that you are now feeling less nervous and apprehensive at this time in your life.
Probably way off the mark, but that's my interpretation.

Hi KaTee, Not off the mark at all. If you could see it very close you could tell the inner butterflies are spiraling down and the outer ones coming up and out. Honestly it was a release from the tizzy I got into trying to paint the eggplants. A friend told me I could of painted 10 paintings in the time I worried over that one. And he is right. So I let loose with my paintbrush, sorta like a cleansing (perhaps too much like a toilet flushing) http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif I painted this in about an hour, no nerves, no angst, no worry. I also had switched to my Dr.martins paints and strathmore paper. I feel free to move on now. Thanks, Sandy
