My latest. Any critique, comments, or suggestions would be much appreciated. I'm especially curious about what sort of feeling/impression this has for folks.
Thanks for looking!

Nice painting........but, the figure seems a bit dark and not clear in contrast with all that "looks like electric current in the air" background. Gives me a feeling of other world hiking....or a traveler in a brain. If the color shift in the background got softer it would give the impression of a great valley with many streams and distant clouds. In its present form the "streams or paths are not in relationship with the rolling hills.......the are on forward a plane.

Seems like a scary world when its the way home. The design and palette add an ethereal feel to it.
Veins in a leaf.

Looming mystery. Looks like there is adventure ahead.

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
May I download it for my collection ? It gives me a very good feeling inside.

Maryem, Tam, VieSaintSo - Thanks for looking and giving me your thoughts!
Artaton - Thanks for the critique! I'm not sure what you mean about the figure, but I see your point about the lack of color shift in the background. My mother came to visit the other day and really likes/wants this one, so I'll have to talk to her if I want to change anything...
Maysun - Thanks! That's quite a compliment. You're certainly welcome to download it. If you want a larger pic than I have here, you can PM me with your email address.
