Is this finished? I love the mood created here, and the use of color . She really interests me- makes me curious to know more, which to me always makes a painting wonderful. Leaves something unspoken. Beautiful.

i like the nice dark light pattern, darks being important

basically 3 coors

paint application fuses sections into real spaces or real masses
putting more of the flesh control into the surroundings
no area becomes important to the detriment of another

simple design, yet
complex visual elements

SDavy: Yes, this alla prima painting was finished last year. I do try to convey an “unspoken” mood that brings the viewer into the creative process.

jheinrich: Oh ga’on J*...everyone, at WC, knows that no one draws http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/17-Jul-2001/hulabutt.gif as “FRESH” as you!

dornberg: Thanks for your always concise and very valuable input.

Ahhhhhh, another fabulous alla prima. Gush.
I particularly like the treatment of the face, very gentle. I learn a lot just looking at these Chuck. thanks.

lovely carnal dance

ZOTMA: I learn a lot just looking at these...
That is nice of you to say and good to know. I too learn from you and all WC members. This is a very productive cyber-family!

jerryW: lovely carnal dance
Only when you “get lucky.” I’m now off to "woo" another canvas!

at some point you feel like a parrot repeating accolades but will any way. Sublime. Especially like the hint of crease where thigh and torso meet and that the breast is there but not a glow in the dark focal point. Color - superb.

I was in vacation in Cyprus all of July but I had limited internet access & I peeped in occassionally. This piece really blew me away. The pose, the reds/yellows in the foreground set off by the grays/blues in the back, her expression - it all comes together as a classic piece. Really, really lovely~!

A+ work with a perfect "C" position!
I especially love the torso and legs... The face has a sharp edge that seems inconsistant with the softn curves everywhere else... A minor point for an overwhelming beauty....

the mood reminds me of hopper

Chuck...your work is always a treat...

my mother thinks that she is too busty for being so skinny...:D
thought you might like to know... :D

when ever I go to write my comments it seems that my comments are the same as Zotma's... I'm gonna just give up writing my own now, and just put : yeah, what she said.

also J* I've been wanting to go to life classes for ages now, but with that certain person on my case in figure I'd been digging my heals in... I can't start any classes or go to any life sessions until January sadly, but Chuck's work always makes me want to go NOW.

Chuck, this style is so very 'yours' I love it.

Cindy: I was in vacation in Cyprus all of July
Yo gal (sorry for not being PC) but, do you know how much your WC input has been missed? Can’t wait to see Cyprus via Cindy’s eyes!

JeanineJ: A+ work with a perfect "C" position!
Where were you when I was in school!

Gollator: the mood reminds me of hopper
Thanks!!! There’s a naughty joke here somewhere.

giniaad: my mother thinks that she is too busty for being so skinny
Most people don’t believe my perception...but it WAS valid!

validity and truth
are too disparate

so it is true?

stunning painting

even though i have
a real affinity for nudes

this one is so well
painted that i can
actually focus on the
painting aspects of
the painting

A great painting. Wish I could do it.

WELCOME! And, thanks MATE...from down under. [email protected]@ks, to me, like you do just fine. Why not post your drawing to a new thread, for critique? I'm sure you'll get some positive feedback.
