This is a small postcard made with OP. I wondered if I should add a background/which color.
Thanks for any advice,

If you have a program like Adobe Photo Deluxe, you could use it to 'try out' some colors on your computer before you actually put it on the painting.
When I look at this, I wonder how a bright yellow would look in the background with a streak of yellow highlighting the stems on the plants....but that's just me!
Create a series....try out several backgrounds, then frame them as a tryptych!

I agree with the yellow, altho I'm thinking a golden yellow. And adding a bit of into the greens.
I like the comp!

beautiful "Violas". I think the background
should stay bright and in similar contrast value as it is.
If I was you I probably would be scared to change it at all because the color balance is already very pleasing.
 Was this really helpful:(

Carly, Helen and Marty, thank you for taking the time to comment my cyclamens.
Here is the update I did:
This one will go like that (it's a postcard). But I'll take up these plants again... Caran d'ache pinks are so nice...

the update makes a big difference for me.
My recommendation would be "don`t change more", may be
better as you said start a new one for more exploration.
I like the leaves with the typical pattern !
