Hi everyone.

Before I get into the details of this sculpture, I want to say thank you all so much for your wonderful comments on my guinea pig sculpture. I posted that yesterday, but for some reason, that thread has completely vanished! So thank you all so much for the wonderful comments. I'm sorry I couldn't answer them in their proper thread. Oh well. :)

UPDATE: I added a few photos of the Guinea Pig to this thread. Keep on scrolling down if you want to see them.

This also was a Christmas commission sculpture. It is a Havanese dog, though due to the nature of the wire, I had to make the head shape a little longer and not so snub-nosed as a true Havanese dog is. Ms Bubbles, I was told, is quite the diva. Very girly, and she lives like a princess, so my client wanted this sculpture to be blinged up and very girly. It was fun to seek out the right embellishments for this project.

Ms Bubbles measured around 6 inches long, I believe. She's made with fencing and paddle wire. Her ears are metal loopy earrings, her nose is a black bead. A bit of fine chain on her brow suggests the shaggy hairdo of this breed. Her tail is a thick cluster of strands of tiny glass beads. There is a twinkly heart earring on her side, and the collar is made with many different bits and baubles, along with a tiny name tag that my client wanted me to incorporate into this sculpture.

Admittedly, I did struggle with this one, as the nose shape bothered me some. It was truly the best I could do. However, I was relieved when both my client and her friend - the recipient of this sculpture - were pleased with the piece. :)

Thanks for looking, and C&C welcome. The photos didn't capture the colors very well - in person, she was adorned with such pretty pink hues.

Thank you so much, Viv! I'm happy you like her. :)

No, I never could find my Guinea Pig thread...just seemed to vanish entirely, which is too bad. But I'll stick a few photos of it into this thread so you can see it. :) He was for a young boy who loved guinea pigs, so his mom had me make this for him for Christmas. He also loved cactus, and is part Irish, so they wanted the embellishments to reflect that.:)

Thank you so much, Angie! I'm happy you like both of these sculptures. Your comments mean a lot. :)

Thank you, Viv. The embellishments felt unique to be sure, but all in all, it seemed to work out. It's what my client wanted, so that's the main thing. Thanks again!

Thanks very much, Robert!
