11x9 Pond. Oil, Acrylic, and Spray Paint on Paper. Comments and critiques welcomed, and thanks for viewing. Inspired by realist paintings of lily ponds.

Really outstanding interpretation of lily ponds; Matisse would be proud. The small blobs of orange paint add the necessary pattern splotches that tie it all together. Your best! Keep on doing these little ones.

I see the depth of field and the water but I'm not sure I would have arrived at the Lilly Pad thought without your comment. (Not that that's important) I do like the interplay of spray paint vs brush work, the colors and textures are lovely. For me the two "straight lines" are doing the heavy lifting. Good job!

I like the way the watery areas? blend into the background areas? Even a realist could enjoy this.

Though I commented earlier. Really good. I love the pastel palette and it does leave the impression of abstract shapes floating on still murky water.
