cnc always welcomed, does the light appear to be from a door, opened a crack?

Yes, the light does appear to be coming through a crack in the door. I like the way you've captured the light on the table as well, but am wondering where it goes after the top of her head. Maybe a hint on the wall in back of her?

That's a very healthy midnight snack that she has chosen!

Ditto about the light above her. I also feel that the light would maybe be sharper where it hits the edge of the table nearest to her. If it were me I would have to do some experimentation and see what happens in real life.

... with lite above, paler 'cause there's some space behind her and my logic dictates fade, i think ... homework is necessary, light is complicated

then and now pix, tho different exposures, but i think light changes show
