View Full Version : WDE April 19 Early Autumn Garden (WIP)

I've got about 2-1/2 hours in this. I'll get back to finish it either Monday or Wednesday, hopefully. Anyway, it's watercolor pencils, watercolor brush pens, and just a touch of pastel on Arches hot press WC paper. I wasn't sure if I'd like the smoother surface, but happily it seems to work well with these media. Size is 10" x 7" now; I may crop it some on the right side and bottom. (Is that cheating???)

Some nice colours in this.
Your posts always appear sideways at least in Safari. Not sure why this is.
Cropping is not cheating (at least in my book) but I wouldn't crop this one.....just finish it.

Luscious start to this garden floral scene. We will patiently await its finish.

Connie, This is wonderful!!! Not sideways on my screen. The Applemint you painted is perfect. It turns from light green foilage with the fluffy purple-ish pink blooms to a rosy golden color in the fall. I used to make and sell wreaths of it - smells absolutely wonderful! Your butterfly is very beautiful too!! I will check back.
