9.5x7 colored pencils and watercolor pencils on Ecosystem sketchbook done today in about 40 minutes or less of this cute dog. I might add water to him later to blend colors. He was too cute to pass up :cat:
C&C welcome

This doggie is really nicely done, Kay. I love that you chose lavender/purple to work in with the fur. Makes for a very lively portrait of a special fellow.

Now if you add water to the WC pencil, will that wonderful shagginess be lost (i.e., the colors might become smoother)?

I like the loose marks on the paper, they keep the sketch lively. Good capture of the soulful expression.

Thanks everyone  I did add water so the pencils soluble in that will blend while regular CPs won't. Here is Chewbacca finished ;)

A different look, and quite nice. Still shaggy and soulful :)

He looks great. I like that you used both water soluble and non water soluble pencils. It is a good look.
