Hi my friends. After a break of 10 months I'm hoping to do some more WDE's.
I have no central heating yet in my new place and it was way too cold to paint.
We are still renovating the house with shop we bought. Hoping the ground floor (fase 1) is finished by January. But we'll see how it goes. ;)

Acrylics on canvas, 8x8", took 2 hours. C&C welcome!

You've been missed, Connie! So good to hear you are back painting and can join in the fun here with your lovely works. This cat could meow for sure. I really love the treatment of its fur and textural qualities.

Hi Connie! I sympathize with you on your house renovations; we just finished two years of it.

Your cat painting is lovely, you got that classic cat stare down perfectly.

I keep coming back to look at this one - it makes me cry because it is so nice.
I had to say goodby to her a year ago at age 17. Her real name was Bosho - Japanese name my daughter gave her, but I always called her Schweetie.
Thank you again Connie. She truly was the best cat I ever had and I have had cats all my life.

Really glad you are back, Connie. I so admired your works years ago when I was first here, in 2007-2008.

I'll echo what everyone has said regarding the painting and add that I am charmed by the way the foreground, middle, and background work together -- very different and yet so perfect together. I think those beautiful green cat's eyes certainly make for a strong focal point and unifying feature. My cat looks at me this way after she has vocalized that she wants to eat and I remain in my easy chair.

Wishing you luck with continued work on the building, and I hope you'll have time to be with us often.

Beautiful - a typical Connie painting and I'm so glad you haven't lost your mojo with all the work on the house and shop!

Delurking because I was searching for you not long ago and was so worried when I couldn't find anything recent from you. I'm grateful to discover that you're well and working on something amazing for your life's journey!!!

This new cat painting seems almost spiritual in its serene beauty and lovely, gentle softness. Oh how I've missed your healing, beautiful work. You and your work are truly good for the soul.

Thank you for coming home to Wet Canvas!

Great to see you back Connie! Beautiful kitty. He looks very soft and potable. Best of luck with the renovations. That's tough to live with but satisfying when it's over.
