Hello everyone!

Welcome to our Weekend Drawing (or painting, or 3D, or mixed media, or anything) Event!

I'll be posting 14 images and a challenge at the end of the photos.

They're all pics I've taken with the exception of one, can you guess which one? It's not the close up of me.....
Some were taken in Utah, Las Vegas and of course the balance in Florida

You have 30 minutes choice time and 2 hours creating time.
Any medium, any size but uploading image is max of 800pixels.
If you choose digital, please tell us which program or app you use and if it is a photo-manipulation, please say so.
If the work is unfinished please add WIP to your title so we can look back for a finished version.

BY all means post comments but please refrain from critiques of other members' works unless asked for.

Oh and PLEASE allow all photos to be posted before commenting.

THANKS and get your creative on!!

My beautiful mother on her wedding day in 1954, she is 84 now. I just love this photo!

These Asian ladies stand in the garden at Wekiva Island, FL

If you've been around WC for a while you know I always post a pic of myself when I host. Vain Valri

At an restaurant in Salt Lake City, UT

These e-bikes are everywhere in the US. Almost like litter!! :cat:

I am deathly afraid of COWS, my friend, who took the photo, dared me to sing to them and those damn cows came over to me. I was shaking but managed to sing the entire song and I am not a singer AT ALL

I was in Las Vegas for a conference (shoot me) we all stayed at the Wynn - I found this phone near the elevator. Thought it was charming and make a good photo reference

A gorgeous day on the St John's river. It flows north just like the Nile

Park City, UT in March 2019

A Cuban Tree Frog that fell in love with my watering can a month ago. My dog Gracie ate it!

Me and my daughter in law with their dog Jack at Wekiva Island, FL

My friend and business partner Jack....not related to Jack the dog pictured above ;)

And this is the Cuban Tree Frog eater - GRACIE. If it moves she eats it. She looks so sweet here doesn't she?

My youngest son and wife's home in Sandusky, OH - it is so gorgeous!

CHALLENGE - the invitation is a painting of mine (SOLD, YAY!) so using that as a style reference see if you can re-create a piece of one of the images in that abstracted look.

Wow, what an exciting collection of photos. I'm guessing you probably didn't shoot the one of your mother getting ready for her wedding. And/or the one at Wekiva Island? The photo of you is lovely.

Very excellent challenge! Thanks for hosting this week!

Li, really? Youíve never seen these e-bikes? Itís a great idea but after using one you can leave it ANYWHERE, hence the litter comment.

These are all cool images and I recognize Gracie as well as Park City. Not heard of e-bikes nor seen any.

Lots of inspiration from these, Valry! Do you have higher resolution pictures somewhere? I would like to use parts of the pictures, but they get very pixled.

Clea, let me know which photo and Iíll put it in the image library here.

Thanks, Valry! I am still in my half hour deciding time which picture to use. I have an idea for cropping the one with you and your daughter in law with the sunglasses and another idea for cropping the cow picture. Without cropping both seem too complicated to me to finish up in 2 hours.

Thank you for hosting and a lot of great photos to choose from. I like naughty Gracie.... I have a funny story about cows. I think they're very curious because I stopped one day to let my dog 'go' and we were next to a farm with cows. WEll they all came running over and were especially interested in Buddy, and vice versa. They stared at each other for a long time and then buddy let out a very tiny 'woof' and the cows all jumped in the air at the same time. I don't think you have anything to be afraid of. Here's the photo I took that day:

For one of the WDE's someone posted a herd of bllack cows which I painted and someone actually saw the image on my website and wanted to buy it (it was already sold). She showed me the reason why --- it was photo of her wedding day with a herd of cows that looked just like the herd I painted in the background. LOL your photo reminded me very much of her wedding day photo (except they were facing the camera).

Iíll have those 2 photos in the library within the hour.
