Each week I enthusiastically downloaded images and sketched them out with a plan. Then I got busy and distracted and the week went by. So I had 3 sketched-out panels, two on sealed wc paper and one on canvas board and even had splotched paint on one.
This morning I decided to spend 10 minutes, timed, on each one and get the values down, with burnt sienna acrylic, a little white, and some black on the splotched tulips.

Not much to look at but was a good exercise.
This weeks, a few inktense pencils on colored paper, an hour or so.
Thanks to Susan (and Harry and ConnieT and Kay :) ) for hosting!

These are really nice sketches. They would easily stand on their own. You shouldn’t be reticent about posting them.
I particularly like the look of the vase of tulips from ‘my’ week. I’d love to get hold of it and just add a brisk dash of muted colour to leaves and petals, job done!

I like these, unfinished or not - and sometimes such beauty can be lost by overworking, so keep them as is!:)
