Still trying to learn pastels! This was done on UART 400 9x12 with all sorts of pastels. Used pans for the underpainting and wet it down, then a combination of soft pastels and finished with a few pastel pencils. Thanks for looking and any critique or comments are always welcome!

It's beautiful and reminds me of our visit to the Dordogne.

Only one small nit - the roof on the circular tower should curve around the back at each side, the pointed ends look a little strange.

That's the only nit I have! Thank you, Doug! It often takes a second set of eyes to see the obvious. Reminds me of writing a term paper in school and having a friend proof read it before I turned it in. You are doing a fantastic job. Keep going.

Nicely done. I like all the textures at the old walls and roofs.
And the fresh green as contrast.
