IMAGES for the WDE
March 15th 2019

Here are the images for the Weekly Drawing Event for weekend 15th - 17th March.

Iím posting fifteen images and a challenge. You could also use the invitation photo of course.

Itís suggested you take 30 minutes to make your choice of image(s) and media.

This is the All Media forum so anything goes!

Spend 2 hours on your response then stop and scan or photograph your work and post it in your own new thread.

Make the title of your post: ĎWDE 15th March:í + YOUR TITLE.

The only other ruleÖhave fun!

The images here are all my own photos. The locations are in the East Midlands and East Anglia. I hope their variety will encourage a lot of different approaches and types of artwork.

Snowdrops in the churchyard at Chelveston, Northamptonshire. The church opens its doors to people on a February weekend when they come to enjoy the lovely early Spring show.

The Corby Cube caused quite a bit of controversy when it was inaugurated as the new civic centre in Corby, Northamptonshire. I like it. Its simple light and airy look is shown off well in this shot against a stormy background.

A colourful Floral subject. My cousin brought me these beautiful tulips on my birthday. The cyclamen was already a resident.

Taken a couple of weeks ago during a very Frosty Walk towards the Welland Valley.

Taken in our home village, a recent colourful Gretton Sunset.

Grandson Joseph enjoying a Hot Chocolate at the Peterborough ice rink.

Currently on show in the garden my Spring favourite, Hyacinth.

Daughter Esther's Icing Unicorns were a favourite at my granddaughter's birthday party.

From the same frosty walk. The Misty Welland Valley

Part of the entertainment at the opening night of the Rutland Open Art exhibition in Oakham, The Morris Men

Grandchildren Joseph and Hazel are enthusiastic Music Makers.

Kids today have fidget wheels. These Puzzles are my version.

The Great Tower, a large sculpture at Rutland Water by Alexander.

Walking around the Georgian streets of Stamford is always a visual delight. Here are some Stamford Roofs.

Sorry guys, couldnít resist this! Me receiving the Rutland Three Arts trophy from the High Sheriff of Rutland at the Rutland Open exhibition in Oakham. Thanks Sheriff!

The Challenge: I'm tempted to say draw an irreverent cartoon version of this last image.....however if you want something more substantial it occurs to me that several of these images have a dominant colour. It could prompt a response close to a monochrome with some accents of complimentary or other colour.
