I did a graphite value sketch of the hydrangeas, in 2 hrs, then another half to blend and add a bit of WC
I really loved the deep shadows

The shadows are beautiful. I loved the muted colors on this and love that you have only used color in selective area. Really nice Bonnie.

It is soft and dreamy, Bonnie, and a good choice to use what you did.

This is so lovely, I can tell why you like the shadows. You have it down to a tea. Well done, it works very well. Love the blue you used as well.

Nicely rendered drawing and it works so nicely as a finished piece with that wonderful pattern of light and shadow . I really like the touches of color for emphasis on the otherwise achromatic work. It inspires me to want to try something similar.
The shadows are great! And I like the soft colours for the faded flowers and the vase!
