wonderful wonderful! I have a bunch of 30x40 paintings on Yupo that I want to mount on 11/2" rigid insulation foam, - only I can't find any product that will make it stick. I like the idea of using rigid foam for larger paintings as it solves the weight issue BUT it creates a storage problem. Painting on Yupo then mounting on rigid foam when needed for display I think could be a solution.

Thanks for the comments! No problems with the storage of foam. In the open form, foam is stored in houses for 30-80 years. But on the canvas the foam is covered with acrylic, lacquer, there is no direct sunlight, there is no change in temperature and humidity. In addition, I process it specifically in several layers to make the density higher.

You're incorporating bits of foam with acrylics and applying that to canvas. I misread your post and thought you were mounting an acrylic painting ONTO rigid insulation foam.... which is what I'm experimenting with. When I said that rigid foam presents a storage problem I was referring to the space a 2" by 30" X 40" piece of foam takes up. Seventy-five paintings on Yupo take the same space as One painting mounted on 2" rigid foam. I know because i have seventy-five 30"x40" paintings on Yupo that I want to frame.

I won't hijack your post with the details. Again great painting and ingenious use of materials.
