As a vet, I enjoy painting military subjects once and a while. In honor of the end of the First World War in 1918, I thought I'd paint something. This early WIP is of a Renault tank - common to the French and American armies. Here I'm depicting American. I'm still playing with what's best for the background and could take or leave the soldiers. Opinions welcome.

Great subject, but the doughboys could use some shadow under them.

Buildings, trees, open fields, etc. French country. Good job on the tank.
