Or maybe not so muted after all.

There actually is a mountain ridge something like this looming over rolling hills in northern Virginia.

This particular interpretation is going to rest for a week or two before any final touches.

That's pyrrole orange, by the way.

Cliff.....you nailed the area, I know it well.....two sons graduated from Virginia Tech....Rt 81 and I were close friends....interesting concept....you are creating your own style!:thumbsup:

Thanks for the kind comments and encouragement.

The questions in my mind right now are whether I need to reinforce the shapes in the sky that lead toward the apex of the mountain ridge; and, if I tone down the orange in most of the sky, will the collision between orange and blue have more force than it does now.

I'll be thinking about it a while.
