This was my 7th effort. My little sister (feels strange to call someone in her mid 50s "little") has been my biggest cheerleader throughout my new journey. So when she asked if I could paint her a portrait of her doggies, I readily agreed. Little did I know how challenging it would be to paint what amounted to "cotton-balls-with-feet". My sister was very pleased with the result. Acrylic on 20" x 30" canvas board, if I remember the dimensions correctly...July 2017.

Thank you Maureen. In the photo, they were seated on a recliner. Didn't care for that so decided to do something with Sis' favorite color.

I bet your sister loves this picture of her pooches.

Painting a picture of something particularly relevant to someone is very rewarding. I have done many.

She does, Dave. This was very challenging and you're right; also very rewarding. Thank you for commenting.

I painted a cat once - I know what you mean by the unexpected challenge! Well done.
