35x25cms on paper. Working from my en plein air sketch during an Southampton Urban Sketch meet on April 7th. All done using expired credt/debit cards. I applied some gesso at first, then cheated by using watercolour to start with the distant trees. The sketch was done at 10.30am and the fair wasn't open.
It looks as if a crane is in use lifting the central white box, by my indiscriminate use of pen for the mass of cables.
Very nice. I like the red, white and blue stripes on the right. How do you paint such a convincing figure with a card? Always amazing.

Do you do the lettering with the cards also?
The mirror maze is one of my secret fears...I guess not a secret now.

Thanks Steve. Thanks Dianna. I try with the cards and sometimes Ok but otherwise I use acrylic pens or markers.

Those b/g trees and the foreground swishing makes make it look quite stormy - which it was this Easter!
Fairgrounds are sad when closed!:)

Very Nice! I'm having fun using credit cards as well!
I will have to look at some acrylic markers for letterings.
