Hi ya'll,

I was challenged by my teacher to create a sunrise "so bright you have to wear sunglasses."

I didn't tell him I was going to run it by an international panel of expert watercolorists first! Hee Hee,

Please have at it, all comments welcomed. (Don't worrry , I'll confess, got to rewet and flatten, too).........Karen:cool::D

. Wow I like this - I don't think you need to do anything but hand out shades ! Well one little thing I think your shadow on the bush in the foreground is wrong. When the sun comes up first thing (like in your picture things barely casts a shadow. However I live in upstate New York and the mountians might be the reason for this. What shadow there is would be facing you. Now I could be totally wrong on this point so wait for the best to show up.

T-Rex, that is a heck of a sunrise in your painting "Shades". It is a great effect. Nice job. Oh, BTW, I very much like the barn in shadow.

WOW!!!

I can hear that rooster cock-a-doodle-do.

(actually the farm next to us has peacocks and they are ten times louder than a rooster)

Looks great, you have the darkest dark against your light, the rays lead your eye in. Its finished :)

Super job showing the light. That is very hard to do without it being over-the-top. :)
