Acrylics on canvas 60" x 72"
WIP, CnC always helpful

From white to black and many shades in between. I've put in three close-ups from various parts of the canvas. It is truly difficult to get a feel for it other than IRL. Lighting is uneven, so please ignore what seems like darker appearance on right side and a bit on left bottom. I'll have to wrestle it outside to get a decent picture. That will be a trick with something bigger than me (lots). Plus, it is unstretched canvas taped to foam board with thin wood slats for reinforcement. It is a little noodle-y.
In the meantime, a few days of study to decide what needs adjustment.
Thanks for viewing!

This has worked out great, it must be quite an experience at that size! Even though I love colour, black and white is fab too.

Would love to sit and contemplate this irl. A strong piece and yet light as air

Appreciate that laf. I was trying to keep it light and wispy, but still add dominant marks.

Wow, you conquered that large canvas!

It was a little amusing at times. Don't know that I conquered as much as we (the canvas and I) arrived at a sort of detente.

Thanks Babs. I love large surfaces too. B&W was Katie's suggestion and it worked out extremely well.

it did. pretty amazing to stand in the sidelines and watch that happen. it's powerful and all time watching i kept trying to grasp the size. on this phone it's inch by inch and a half.. it must be simply magnificent in reality.

The purer white bits look like language characters floating amidst a grayish storm with plenty of movement in a vibratory sense my friend.

With all the layering, this must have taken ages to complete. It was worth it, since it's very interesting. I wish I could see it in person, as I'm sure the experience is not able to be conveyed on a laptop screen. Nice job.

Thank you Anthony. That was one of the goals. I appreciate your eye on all things, but especially on those attempting to show movement.

Thank you Annie. Once I get a rhythm going, it is easy to disappear into the painting. Time flies by.

This morning was perfectly overcast for photography. While the resolution will never be ideal, the lighting finally is. Below is a photo of what I think (maybe) is the final version. Still a pale comparison to IRL. Original pic is below that.
I ended up adding a bit more black to the upper left quadrant in a couple of places. Remain interested in CnC...always.
Thanks everyone!
New photo with  lighting - truer B&Ws
