View Full Version : A bit of a weird Wip

Ok this is 80 by 80 and as you can see same palette, a weirdo I think - but it's what you think that interests me :)

It looks like a hastily sketched dream..weird..but it works.
In the bottom right-hand corner you have a lovely faint pale green/grey. I think it would be nice to see a bit more of this in other areas. I would be careful not to overwork this one.

it's a little known fact that rabbits are evil.
they should never have been allowed in the spaceship. Noah is amused but the ship is broken. rumour has it that the rabbit ate its way through the hull. the cat plays a harmonica made of exhaust vents but it's worried, it's almost lunch.
where did they land?

Katie - yes I'm proceeding very slowly - I think you're right about the grey/green I'm starting to add a little we'll see how it goes.
Ronsu 18 love your story and no I did not know that rabbits were evil so thanks for that :)

I really like this one, Lyn, lots happening here. Weird, yes, but in a good way.

Weird, but wonderful and whimsical. I hope you will post other pictures as you develop this further. Only part confusing me is upper left quadrant and the angularity. That said, Iíve no doubt you will come up with something special.

I LOVE this. Brings to mind Fiver's premonitions in Watership Down. Must be imposing IRL.
If this were my painting, I'd go too far, look at this photo later and think 'I wish I had the courage to stop there.'

I could have sworn that I had commented on this, defo losing my marbles. Still love this palette and looking forward to see where this journey ends, it looks good so far.

I've dragged this wip back from the depths of WC cos I've finally finished it and thought some of you might like to see how it ended - and whether or not I went too far :) Looking at it now I can see that it looks a lot smoother irl

I like it!

It's a happy ending. the titans are turning back.
It's tickling the way the images open and alternate, "it's a tusk - no a ventriloquist's dummy". like my brain's the jigsaw and the painting is laying it :)

Excellent! Especially with the added luminosity. But the best part is that I haven't seen anything remotely like it. It is uniquely yours.
p.s. Ronsu could write a piece to be played while people attend the exhibition. Modern day beat poetry.

Thanks Rick - wonderful to have produced something you haven't seen before :) and you're right about Ronsu - modern day beat poetry would be good to hear :)

My take on the first version: toy box explodes into the city when aliens land. Second version: toy box explodes into the city when aliens land as the sun sets. Aliens are perhaps rabbits.
Weird and wonderful it is!
