wow, this year's been a great year for deer so far! I see them all the time when I go for walks - just standing in the road, small herds in people's back yards.
Here's a pic we took off our deck tonight. Not very clear because it was twilight. The eyes look pretty cool. I think it was a male, two females and a fawn.

OMG! Being a city girl, seeing this would be totally amazing to me! How cool! They can eat my plants if they wanna come here. :)

As for the flower eating - last winter they ate ALL of our shrubs down to the ground, and a lot of bark around our fruit trees, so some of them died. We were going to buy some skoot to put on the shrubs this winter, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
They sure are purty though...

Venison Stew or Pie. Yummy !!! You'll have to tell Larry and he'll be sound to fix your problem for you. Then there is Rabbit pie or nice piece of Wild Pork with plum and blackcurrent sauce, maybe a nice brace of pheasants. Whats that song now ?, Four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie !!! LOL.
Nice to see. More fun than blocked toilets eh! Aleks.

They all look curious looking at the direction of the camera. I miss seeing them in my backyard (that was when I lived in Utah); now the only things I can see here are pigeons and sparrows... How lucky you are!

A week ago we had a visitor in our yard - a woodchuck! First time I've ever encountered one. I ran outside to see it - discovered that it wasn't afraid of me at all - just kept right on "waddling" along - must have been on a "mission" - anyway, was able to easily catch it in a small animal cage and drove it a couple of miles away to free it in a swamp. Don't want one of those around here - they are worse than deer when it comes to eating up your garden!

Cool woodchuck!
Now knock it off with the food jokes, I'm a vegetarian!
(besides, if you really want venison or rabbit, you don't have to shoot it around here - there's enough road kill for everyone.)
Really, we are up to our eyeballs in wildlife here.

There are many deer around my house as well...unfortuantly I am constantly encountering them standing in the middle of the road while I am comming home late at night. Another thing that I have been spotting often this year are chipmunks.

The deer in our yard are so tame they don't even run away when they see us any more, unless we yell or something.
They are so pretty.
But, yeah, they eat my tulips, hostas, lilies and snowball tree.
I stick dead twigs from the rosebush around the hostas.
And we have to watch out driving at night (for moose, too).

As far as game goes, moose is pretty good too! Hello fellow east coaster, which bit of the east coast are you from? I'm from Cape Breton.
I love the picture of the deer. If that was me, they would have time to run down the block for a beer and a movie before I got the camera ready to get their pic! I'm not good at catching animals on camera!!
