Acrylics on paper mounted on thicker paper.
18X14, as far as I remember.

Cheers

Oh, there are black marker thingies too here and there.

Very interesting color choices. I like the overall feel.
It makes one wonder what each is looking at, since it does not appear to be each other. Another mystery.

"I got this" she thinks.
I've won the battle
I can win the war, any war.

Years, O the years
skirmishes with the enemies
Tricks pulled
evil conquered

They told her that the boy
was not welcome
They told her
he could never become.

With a mother's love
she blew them away
every obstacle thrown at her
was destroyed and burned.

Boys like him had never
been accepted
welcomed
loved

Put him away
lock him up
ship him to there
anywhere but here.

Today he is famous
the best in his field
He has blossomed into the flower
she had always believed he was.

Her face expresses the pride in him
a quiet knowledge
a deep love
an understanding

His face is resentful of the attention
he is yet unaware
of his fame
and of his fortune

Nice one. Great expressiveness, if that's a word.

the way you boldly bend the rules of normalcy really is brilliant

Reminds me of Gorky's self portrait as a child with his Mother. Very nice.

Guys, I donít know how to thank you enough. There are words here that really touch me, such as how I bend the rules of normalcy is brilliant or a comparison with Arshil Gorky or expressiveness. Not to mention the poetry that seems to get deeper and deeper. Thanks a mill!!
