View Full Version : Help...looking for specific book on acrylic painting

We moved a couple years ago and I was literally purging everything in site.

I had a book that specifically with using acrylics as watercolors. I can't believe I'd have pitched it but we had lived in our old house for 30 years so there was a LOT of stuff that just got pitched. I'm willing to repurchase but I can't find the book anywhere. I checked Barnes and Noble, Googled it and checked Amazon. I'm sure I'd recognize the cover. It's not the one by Charles Harrington unless it now has a different cover.

I even checked the library website since I donated a ton of books when we moved.

I think there was a portait of a young girl on the cover.

Does this by chance ring a bell with anyone? We used to have an art store locally which has been gone for years and that's probably where I purchased it.

a couple of 'early' acrylic books on painting in a watercolor fashion....

Acrylic Watercolor Painting....Weldon Blake...published 1970

The Acrylic Painter's Book of Styles and Techniques...Rachel Wolf....1997

Discover the Joy of Acrylic Painting...Jacqueline Penny....2002

hope this helps....

Thanks for the suggestions. I know the book had the word watercolor in the title. The entire book was about using acrylics as watercolors. I've googled everything I can think of. I could be mistaken about what's on the cover. I had a lot of art magazines, etc.
