Hi All,
Here one recent painting of a person that I admire: Gerardo Amaro. He is a person transmitting (for free) messages of unity, consciousness and love to humanity. Moreover, he rescues animals, pics up abandoned and mistreated animals in the streets and gives them shelter, food and medical treatment. He collaborates and owns agencies to find homes to the animals with people that will care for them.

I created this piece for supporting him in his exemplary tasks of care and love for our beloved animals. He sits there with a dog he had rescued in the streets.

The painting is made with Sepia only. It is going to be shipped as soon as possible. Acrylics on Yupo paper, 30x40 cm.

C&C welcome...
Enjoy :D

I'd have that little dog if I lived near you (or Amaro)!
Such a good thing to do.

Good work Fede.

Thank you Cliff, I think people that behave and act like him shall be motivated, encouraged and rewarded. I feel my piece is just a small contribution for appreciation.

Yes Michelle and Dianna! Thanks for noticing :)...it was an experimental style, not going to realism but in an intermediate step from ink sketching and realistic painting. Also monochromatic, not even white, is just different amounts of sepia layering.

It looks as if it is based on a photo, it feels so real. A wonderful gesture and a very successful piece.

Thanks Colins, Actually I used a video, took a screenshot :) and use it as reference... very low quality but enough to have the main shapes blocked :)

I love the delicacy achieved in the painting which I think is partly due to the use of white, and more to the drawing.

Thank you :)...yet, I did not use white or any other color besides sepia, whites are the paper color going through. You can see it becomes yellow brownish, that is when I mix sepia with airbrush reducer to make it very transparent. I used reducer because Yupo is non absorbent and water would stay there very long time. Reducer is based on alcohol, so it evaporates faster.

Thanks, I should have been more explicit, I meant your use of white as part of the painting, not as a pigment. Good information though on technique.
