22x30 acrylics on watercolor paper 140 lb; wax crayon used to do initial sketch. I used the same guy holding a violin for all 3 men.
C&C welcome
A larger file that is easier to see:

The title is perfect for this top notch work Kay and you really generated a nice balance between this 3 way fella. I love the value flow of this piece and the complementary colors set the mood of this story.

Kay as Anthony said perfect title! I'm guessing you have variation of colors on the faces to depict different temperaments of this dude. Brilliant!

Quite excellent. I feel like I see a giant overlay of a violin, almost like a watermark. Love the combination of curved lines with a slightly cubist style. The alignment of the egos also attracts attention.

Wonderful painting, Kay.
I see a forehead, bridge of a nose and two eyes in the background above the head of the central figure.

thank you all. I've added a larger file. The smaller one had been enhanced.

Thanks for the larger pic, Kay. Much easier to see the subtleties of this painting. I love the almost translucent feel they have, whilst looking solid, if that makes sense.

This is outstanding Kay! The lighter outlines in the facial features give it a x ray or photo negative quality to it which suits the painting concept very well. Great work!

This is great, did anyone else say 'Wow, three John Travoltas!'?
I love it!
Excellent Kay. So the crayon acted as a wax resist preserving the lines? That's a trick used for watercolor but should work for thin acrylics also.

This is super! I thought it looked like it could be titled "Travolta Trio". Very sophisticated feeling figurative piece.

Thanks everyone. Yes, the wax crayon is a resist for thinned latex acrylics (Benjamin Moore brand).
