View Full Version : Blue collaboration

A similar piece to the one I posted yesterday, except that this one will be part of an assemblage of pieces with 6 other artists. I decided to do a high key piece in case most of my collaborators go darker, because we chose prussian blue as the connecting colour for the work, and it is very dark unless you tone it down.
12" x 12" mixed media (gesso, acrylic, epoxy resin, glass)

Rick, this reminds me of an aerial map with cities marked with glass, very flowing and peaceful. It has less white texture than your red and white one which to me is more balanced.

Topography with a few dark candied focal points of interest.

I like this one more. I can't help but think 'beach' with the red/white pieces being sun parasols.

I was thinking the terrain of a planet not yet explored by humans.
A Kurt Vonnegut sort of world.
very interesting and discussionary.
put this up over the dining room table and it would spark lively discussions.
creativity abounds in your studio

Very nice Rick. Love the resin. First impression is it looks edible- gum drops over frosting with caramel and flakes of peppermint.

Thanks everyone. You know what I love most about this one? Since it is a collaboration, it doesn't need a title of its own!
