I'm working on my 3 color project from a photo of 3 white flowers. (haven't painted the flowers yet) since the background is hardest for me. 16x20<IMG SRC="http://www.wetcanvas.com/Critiques/User/abgone.JPG" border=0>

I like it! And big too! I think I would darken the left bottom a bit though. Be sure to post the finished painting. Dennis

Mal... just Awesome!!!! Can't get over how fast you are growing with these watercolors!
Actually, I agree with Dennis here but, you could also just lightly lift a bit of the dark color just to the right of that lower stem. As it is, the dark stops too soon or too late ( up to you )....minor little thing and this is a great start..don't forget to post the finished piece... http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif Carol
what colors are you using?

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished work. Since it's a triad painting, I assume you plan to use pale tints of the same colors for your white flowers. I like the colors in my triad work - seem to need the color limit for unity.

Mal, I like the background. It is a soft mottled look that always makes me feel mellow. I am looking forward to the finished piece too.
