Hi folks! I hope you like this one, I'm not sure where it will go from here. It was a simple and easy exercise in balance color/tonal variation. It utilized a big brush technique, with a few exceptions.

because of the multiple brush marks all over this does not feel "unfinished".
in fact, it seems rather ethereal and gentle.
the gentleness as it is really appeals to me.

Here is an update, what I'm trying to do is maintain the brush quality throughout, .... Large and small filbert.

This is coming along very nicely. It feels a bit too "perfectly pretty" to me right now. But if that is where you are headed, keep on going as it is hitting that mark well. Good stuff.

Superb segue into a completely different visual.
Particularly like the shading of the surf and the reveal of colors below the water surface that can come with a surge. Will offer that the strong magenta in the sky could be a little intrusive. But, that it a small comment on what is evolving to be a wonderful painting.
P.S. the surfer can remain nonbinary:lol:
